Beneficial for promoting relaxation, reducing muscle tension, and improving blood circulation. This type of massage involves long and slow movements on the different segments of the body. It can also help alleviate stress and promote overall well-being through activation of the parasympathetic nervous system (the part of the nervous system responsible for "rest & digest").
-
Contrary to a relaxation massage, a therapeutic massage has as one of it’s primary objectives to relieve muscle tensions. The therapist will therefore focus more on your problematic area during your session.

Cranio-sacral therapy (CST) is a gentle and unique technique that focuses on the skull’s sutures, the spine, and the sacrum. The massage thrapist will gently and lightly place their hands on specific points along the spine and skull. This will allow for the therapist to feel the primary respiratory movement and address restrictions in the body's membranes (fascia and intracranial membrane) to allow the body to regain its natural balance.
During this type of session, the therapist aims to be a tool to support the body in its self-healing capacity and return to balance.
This gentle and subtle technique can be helpful for issues such as headaches & migraines, TMJ, neck and back pain. It generally provides a strong sense of well-being and can therefore be useful for improving sleep and reducing stress. It is worth noting that this type of session can also provide somato-emotional release.
Please note that this type of sessions are done over your clothes and without oil.
